TREATMENT OPTIONS

Advanced surgical and
non-surgical solutions
to relieve pain and
restore function.

At Beckett NeuroSpine, treatment recommendations are offered with your condition, lifestyle, and goals in mind.

Dr. Beckett approaches spine treatment with a disciplined, patient-centered philosophy. Many conditions improve with thoughtful conservative care designed to reduce inflammation and relieve nerve irritation. When surgery is necessary, procedures are selected to address the underlying problem while preserving normal anatomy and spinal function whenever possible.

Non-Surgical
Care

Not every spine condition requires surgery. Many patients experience meaningful improvement through conservative care designed to reduce inflammation, calm irritated nerves, and restore normal movement.

Physical Therapy

Focused rehabilitation programs designed to improve strength, mobility, and spinal stability.

Steroid Injections

Targeted injections that deliver anti-inflammatory medication around irritated nerves or facet joints to reduce pain and swelling.

Guided At-Home Care

Structured programs of medication and movement designed to reduce pain, improve function, and support recovery.

Epidural Steroid Injections

Targeted injections that deliver anti-inflammatory medication directly around irritated nerves to reduce pain and swelling.

Minimally Invasive
Spine Surgery

Minimally invasive spine surgery uses specialized instruments and smaller incisions to access the spine with less disruption to surrounding muscles and tissues. These techniques allow Dr. Beckett to precisely treat the affected area while minimizing trauma to nearby structures.

Microdiscectomy

Removes the portion of a herniated disc pressing on a spinal nerve, rather than the entire disc.

Laminectomy

Removes a portion of the vertebral bone (lamina) to create more space within the spinal canal and relieve nerve or spinal cord compression.

Foraminotomy

Widens the space where spinal nerves exit the spine, relieving pressure caused by narrowing or bone overgrowth.

Decompression

Procedures that relieve nerve or spinal cord compression by removing the source of pressure.

Kyphoplasty

Treats certain vertebral compression fractures by stabilizing the bone and restoring vertebral height.

Artificial Disc
Replacement

Artificial disc replacement is a motion-preserving procedure designed to treat damaged spinal discs while maintaining natural movement in the spine. By replacing the affected disc with a specialized implant, pressure on nearby nerves can be relieved while preserving spinal mobility.

Cervical Disc Replacement

Replaces a damaged disc in the neck to relieve nerve compression and symptoms while preserving motion.

Lumbar Disc Replacement

Replaces a damaged disc in the lower back to relieve nerve compression and symptoms while preserving motion.

Spinal Fusion
and Stabilization

Procedures that stabilize the spine by joining two or more vertebrae to restore alignment and provide structural support.

Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion

Through an incision in the front of the neck, Dr. Beckett removes a damaged disc and stabilizes the segment by fusing the bones together.

Posterior Cervical Fusion

Through an incision in the back of the neck, Dr. Beckett removes a damaged disc and stabilizes the segment by fusing the bones together.

Lumbar Fusion (ALIF, TLIF, PLIF)

Procedures that stabilize the lower spine by fusing two or more vertebrae, using different surgical approaches to restore alignment and relieve nerve compression.

Corpectomy

Removes part of a vertebral body and adjacent discs to relieve pressure on the spinal cord, typically in more advanced cases.

Kyphoplasty

Minimally invasive procedure used to treat certain spinal fractures by stabilizing the vertebra and restoring height.

Revision Spine Surgery

Corrective procedures performed to address persistent symptoms or complications from prior spine surgery.

Complex and
Revision Spine Surgery

For patients with complex deformity, advanced structural conditions, or failed prior surgery, Dr. Beckett offers the specialized expertise these cases require.

Scoliosis Surgery

Corrects abnormal sideways curvature of the spine while restoring alignment, posture, and balance.

Kyphosis Surgery

Addresses excessive forward curvature of the spine, helping restore posture and reduce strain on surrounding structures.

Corpectomy

Removes part of the vertebral body and adjacent discs to relieve spinal cord compression, followed by reconstruction and stabilization.

Revision Spine Surgery

Corrective procedures performed to address persistent symptoms or complications from prior spine surgery.

Spondylolisthesis

Occurs when one vertebra slips forward over another, potentially causing instability and nerve compression.
